Age 27 on underarm sweating

My job in the army requires me to wear body armour and carry webbing, my underarm sweating was tolerable in Sydney, but in Darwin with the heat and all, it gets pretty tough. I tried Driclor, but it gave me a rash. The new line from Rexona didn’t work at all. I get some injections into the armpit area twice a year, and it’s like turning a tap off.

Specialist comment

Hyperhidrosis of the axillae (also called excessive underarm sweating) can have both an occupational as well as social impact. I treat a variety of occupations whereby sweating really does cause an impairment in their job, including Department of Defence members, as well as members of the police force, and people who work in the hospitality field. A simple 10 minute procedure can really turn the tap off sweating. It really is that easy.
